Conversational French for Everyone
Overview
Whether you would like to get by in France, improve your accent, or become totally fluent, I have the course for you.
You can choose between one-to-one, couples or small group lessons – an increasing number of people are opting for group classes, as they enjoy learning within a friendly group environment.
The core of all lessons will be based on my flagship course Parlez Français.
It is also available for purchase HERE if you prefer to study by yourself, or if you need to keep costs down.

Please note I am currently taking in new students in small groups (max 5 people) and my brilliant tutors Anne-Claude and Stéphanie are looking after the one-to-one lessons. Just book your free assessment below to find out what would work best for you!
What they have experienced
How long will it take me to become fluent?
It depends on how much time you can devote to it. I recommend you study at least 15 minutes a day, more if you can. The ideal situation is, of course, total immersion in France but if that’s not possible, you need to recreate those conditions at home – watch French films and YouTube videos, listen to French podcasts, read French books, etc.
Do I need to do anything between lessons?
Yes. If you only rely on your 1 hour a week only, you will get nowhere. I recommend you go over everything we do again and again, even if it’s just 10 minutes here and there. Be prepared to memorise it, too.
My YouTube videos are designed to help you revise effectively. You can find them HERE.
Will you give me homework?
If you like, but if you follow the above recommendations, you shouldn’t need extra homework. As every lesson builds on to the previous one, you will need to know each one well before you can make any worthwhile progress.
I have this app/book/audio method I like, can I use it?
Absolutely. The more you do, the better. It’s always a good idea to vary your sources of French information, so you can get used to different voices, styles and accents.
Are there any tricks to learn quicker?
I find it very effective to revise just before bed. Sleep helps consolidate what you have just learnt. Plus, the 15-minutes a day works really well for me (that’s how I am learning Spanish at the moment).
What if I have learning difficulties or special needs?
It’s not a problem – I can accommodate your specific circumstances, as long as you (or they) have the drive to learn!
Can I see you and have a chat before committing?
Of course. You can visit if you are local, or we can have a 30-minute no-obligation chat and a trial lesson over Zoom for £1.
